Power Factor Correction (PFC) is a technology used to ensure that the current and voltage between devices remain in phase. PFC is a type of power-conditioning circuitry that assists with maintaining a specified load or power factor by reducing irrelevant harmonics or other factors that can affect the load and power factor. It then adjusts the power factor through the modulation of the primary current based on the voltage changes. The PFS7524H also features a low start-up current which allows the chip to be powered on without any initial current. This makes it suitable for applications where high current is not available, such as in battery powered systems.
