The device’s speed is based on the access time of 70 ns and a clock frequency of 25 MHz, allowing fast read and write access times. Both the erase and the program functions are self–timed, allowing longer access times in which data is held stable. A chip–erase architecture allows the whole memory array to be efficiently erased with a single command.
Other features of SST39VF800A-70-4C-EKE-T include a byte–wide device architecture with byte-wide data bus, fast read access times, low power consumption, and an expanded address bus of up to 32 bits for 4 Mbit (512 KByte) memory space.
