The 1N3045B-1 Zener diode is a single diode that primarily finds use as a reference voltage regulator, to provide voltage regulation for low and medium power applications. It is also known as a voltage stabilizer diode.
The 1N3045B-1 is composed of an N-type semiconductor material covered by a metallic cathode layer. It is commonly found in standard SOD-323 (Jedec TO-226AA) packaging and generally has an 8-volt voltage rating. When forward biased, it acts as a normal diode, allowing electrons to flow in one direction through the junction between the two types of semiconductor material.
