Application Field
The 2N6071BTG is widely used in industrial, commercial and consumer-level products. Working Principle
The 2N6071BTG can be triggered on by a low-level current which is able to flow through the Gate-Cathode junction of the TRIAC. By applying a voltage between the Gate and Main Terminal (MT), the device is easily switched on and off. In the on-state, current is allowed to flow both ways across the terminals and the Gate. When in the off-state, the Gate-Cathode junction is effectively open and no current flow is observed. The 2N6071BTG is designed to be used as an on-off switch, and it is not recommended for use in variable-speed or variable-resistance applications.
