Working Principle

The AOB462L operates on the principle of the field-effect transistor, or FET. FETs are semiconductor devices that are sensitive to voltage applied to their gates. They form a three-terminal device, where two of the terminals, the drain and source, control the flow of current when a voltage is applied to the third terminal, the gate. The AOB462L is an N-channel device, meaning the P-type semiconductor material on which they are produced is cut off from its source, creating an electric field when a voltage is applied to the gate, allowing the flow of current through the device.
