Working Principle

This is possible because the diodes in the package are configured in a three diode bridge rectifier configuration, which consists of three arms. The diodes in each arm form a closed loop, which allows current to flow through the package in one direction, while blocking the flow of current in the other direction. When the AC power passes through the bridge rectifier, it is converted to direct current, with no voltage fluctuation. Each arm of the bridge rectifier contains one diode, so it can be easily replaced if one of the diodes fails.

Limitations

The APT2X100D30J is not suitable for applications that require higher current ratings. The package can only support up to 50A, and it is not suitable for applications that require very low forward voltage drops. Additionally, the package is not suitable for applications that require high speed switching, as the diodes have a relatively slow response time.
