The AUIRF7316Q is a high-performance, self-protected, three-phase low side intelligent power module (IPM). It is built with an advanced TrenchGate technology MOSFET and is especially designed for higher current, higher reliability and more efficiency power management on industrial automation and transportation applications. The AUIRF7316Q is an all-in-one power management module, providing gate drivers and protection functions integrated with six TrenchGate technology MOSFETs in a single package for the three-phase motor control applications.

Application Field:The AUIRF7316Q can be applied in a variety of circuits, including but not limited to power factor correction, solar inverters, electric vehicle inverters, battery chargers and welders. Its ability to drive three-phase switches with one module reduces board complexity, simplifying the design process. Other applications include brushless DC and AC motors, UPS systems, industrial automation and heavy industrial machinery.

Working Principle:The AUIRF7316Q utilizes a three-phase low side power MOSFET array in order to drive a three-phase motor. It makes use of three independent p-channel TrenchGate MOSFETs driven by three corresponding high and low side gate drivers. Each TrenchGate MOSFET is capable of driving loads up to 20A with a breakdown voltage rating of up to 1200V. This ensures exceptionally high efficiency in power transmission.

The device also incorporates several protection features, including under-voltage lockout, over-voltage protection, over-current protection, thermal protection, reverse current protection, and surge protection. The integrated over-temperature protection circuitry can limit the power dissipation and switch off the MOSFETs if their respective junction temperatures exceed a predetermined threshold. This allows the AUIRF7316Q to generate high power output while remaining safe and reliable.

In order to ensure full-range flexibility in system design, the AUIRF7316Q features a wide operating voltage range of 5V to 80V, adjustable switching frequency of between 100kHz and 4MHz, and adjustable short circuit protection.
