The AUIRLR014N is a type of single rail-to-rail input and output (RRIO) operational amplifier, designed for audio applications. It is designed to offer superior noise performance over standard non-RRIO op-amps. The device is manufactured using a BiCMOS process and consists of two transistors, a differential amplifier, an output stage and several other components. The AUIRLR014N is manufactured in the same SiGe-based process as other Chi-Tech™ BiCMOS devices, providing a performance level comparable to that of commercial op-amps.
At the heart of the AUIRLR014N is the high-performance input stage, which is comprised of two transistors, a differential amplifier, a gate array and several other components. The input stage allows the AUIRLR014N to offer rail-to-rail input and output range while simultaneously ensuring low input bias current and low noise. This makes the AUIRLR014N ideal for audio applications, where low-noise is the key requirement.
The AUIRLR014N’s output stage consists of a field-effect transistor (FET) with a low output resistance and a compensating bipolar transistor. The combination of the FET and the bipolar transistor ensure that the output impedance is kept low, allowing the device to operate with a high slew rate, low noise and high-frequency compensation. Additionally, the output stage has a low-offset voltage, ensuring that the voltage gain can be accurately adjusted.
The AUIRLR014N offers a wide range of flexibility when it comes to powering the device, allowing it to be powered with a single rail, dual rail or differential power supply. Additionally, the AUIRLR014N can be easily configured to provide either true-rail-to-rail or pseudo-rail-to-rail operation.
