The GKI03061 is a Enhancement Mode N-Channel Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect-Transistor (MOSFET) designed for various applications, such as high frequency switching, DC-DC converters, solid state relays, etc. It is specifically optimized for high-performance DC-DC converters.

The GKI03061 has two terminal connections: source (S) and drain (D). A voltage applied to the gate terminal turns the transistor on and off. When it is “on”, current can flow from the source to the drain. When the transistor is “off”, no current can flow from the source to the drain. In addition, the GKI03061 has a body diode connected between the source and drain terminals which allows current to flow in one direction.

The working principle of the GKI03061 is simple. When a positive voltage is applied to the gate terminal, electrons are attracted to the surface of the MOSFET and form a conductive channel between the source and drain terminals. This allows current to flow between the source and drain terminals, effectively turning the transistor on. Similarly, when the positive voltage is removed, the electrons disperse, breaking the conductive channel and turning the transistor off.

Due to its low on-resistance, low input capacitance and low gate charge, the GKI03061 can operate at high frequencies, making it ideal for switching applications, such as DC-DC converters. It is also suitable for use in circuits requiring low power dissipation and input switching times.
