The LM5010 Evaluation Board (EVAL) is a DC/DC or AC/DC (off-line) Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS). It is designed to easily evaluate and demonstrate the performance of the LM5010 High Frequency Buck Controller. The LM5010 EVAL board’s straightforward design and wide input and output voltage range make it a great option for engineers and designers looking to quickly evaluate and demonstrate the performance of the LM5010, especially for applications in DC and AC/DC off-line SMPS.

The LM5010 is a high frequency, synchronous buckle controller suitable for DC/DC and AC/DC off-line Switching Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). It features sophisticated protection functions, including under-voltage lockout (UVLO), cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and auto-restart. It also includes a selectable features such as selectable peak current mode or hysteretic current mode operation. The LM5010 evaluation board (EVAL) provides an ideal platform for engineers to quickly evaluate and demonstrate the performance of the LM5010.

The LM5010 EVAL board operates with an input voltage range of 4.5 V to 60V and supports an output voltage of 0.8 V to 48 V. It offers a wide range of power levels and switching frequencies to meet the requirements of a large number of applications. The board comes standard with a 1.2 A / 40V P-channel power MOSFET, optically-isolated P-channel gate driver and a 5V auxiliary power supply. It also comes with a current regulator and temperature monitor to ensure optimal performance of the LM5010.

The LM5010 evaluation board also features selectable voltage mode or current mode operation, as well as selectable constant frequency or programmable frequency operation.
