Power management integrated circuit (PMIC) is a device which can be used for controlling the power supply in circuits and helping to provide availability of several functionalities such as protecting, controlling and monitoring the power supplied in a circuit. LM5102MM/NOPB is a Gate Driver IC used to control power switch circuits in different applications.

Working Principle of LM5102MM/NOPB
The LM5102MM/NOPB device works on a hysteretic control circuit and includes ultra low RON MOSFET’s high side and low side drivers. This device has a wide power supply range and is capable of controlling different synchronous rectifier power circuit configurations.
The hysteretic control circuit of LM5102MM/NOPB gates the MOSFET’s using direct enable logic control interface. This device is designed to operate with fixed 2V voltage level at its non-inverting input, that remains constant. The switching circuit between the high side and low side power switches can include a pull-up resistor, this will pull the output to VDD and VGATE will be high until the drive voltage from the high side is provided.
