LM5110-3SDX/NOPB is a highly integrated 3-phase Gate Driver used for Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) applications. This Gate Driver integrated advanced features allow for higher current and higher voltage for power-switching applications. Its superior gate drive layout, wide input voltage range, low propagation delay and fast rise and fall times give the user flexible control of the motor drive applications.The LM5110-3SDX/NOPB device is made of high voltage CMOS technology, and it’s a synchronous rectifier driver which consists of three input channels, each of them includiing a 5V level shifting stage, a power MOSFET driver and an accurate current sense amplifier. The device is designed to control permanent magnet synchronous motors up to 1A peak, and up to 24V power supply. With this device, the user can achieve low voltage and low power operation, as well as very fast switching, allowing for full wave or half wave control of synchronous motors, as well as brushless DC motors.The LM5110-3SDX/NOPB consists of a current sense amplifier, a level-shifter, a power MOSFET driver and a set of PMOS transistors. The level-shifter provides a 5V compatible input level and is designed to increase the voltage from a low-level value up to 10V. The power MOSFET driver is used to control the power MOSFET. The current sense amplifier senses the current that passes through the power MOSFET and to the motor load in order to provide a reliable protection function for the motor.
