Working Principle
The SI1022-A-GMR works by using a differential antenna for ultra-low frequency communications. The antenna receives RF signals and passes them to the RF receiver chip, which processes the signal and amplifies it. The amplified signal is then transferred to the microprocessor for further processing. The processor then transmit information with a modulated signal at the appropriate frequency through the same antenna. The physical layer protocol is then used to assemble and disassemble the packets from higher layers.
The SI1022-A-GMR transceiver also includes a power amplifier to boost output power and a low-noise amplifier for increased sensitivity. Its on-chip reference oscillator can generate clock signals with frequencies up to 5MHz without any external components. Other features of the transceiver chip includes programmable tuning, tunable temperature compensation, adjustable modulation index, on-chip CRC engine and error-correction algorithms.
