The SI413XGX2M-EVB Evaluation Board from Silicon Labs is a high-performance, low-power 2.4GHz radio frequency (RF) transceiver and is part of a complete development platform for the development of ZigBee-based solutions. The SI4133GX2M-EVB Evaluation Board is a complete development platform for ZigBee wireless networks. It includes a 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4-based radio, a power amplifier, a chip antenna, configuration settings and a monitoring interface with graphical readouts to quickly evaluate, debug, and configure wireless networks.
The evaluation board is designed to evaluate the performance of radio products using the IEEE 802.15.4 radio communication protocol. It can also be used for product development based on the ZigBee protocol, featuring support for both 802.15.4 and ZigBee networks. The board is configured to operate in a 2.4GHz frequency band, supplies up to 10mW of output power, and enables data rates up to 250Kbps. The power amplifier is programmable using the GUI to adjust the output power and enable extended range operation.
The SI4133GX2M-EVB also includes a 3V powered chip antenna, which provides an easy and fast way to evaluate RF performance. The antenna features a low profile, compact design and is optimized for the 2.4GHz Radio Frequency band. The evaluation board features two U.FL connectors for external antennas, such as internal chip, inverted F, or printed antennas. The board also includes onboard pull-up and pull-down resistors to enable and disable the chip antenna and external antenna connections.
The 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 radio is a low-cost, low-power, robust and reliable radio module. It enables developers to quickly configure and evaluate their RF system designs.
