Working Principle

UC2705D works by amplifying the input power required to switch power semiconductor devices reliably by providing a high current at a low voltage. The IC takes a small signal at its input and amplifies it to drive the power semiconductor device’s gate. The IC uses an internal charge pump to increase the voltage of the input signal and thus provide sufficient current to the power device’s gate.UC2705D also has a low on-resistance, which ensures a low gate resistance, resulting in less power dissipated during switching operations. Additionally, the IC has an internal UVLO protection, which protects the power device in case of an accidental overvoltage and provides reliable operation.
