UP0431NG0L is a product from the UP0431 family which is the latest bipolar transistor array series from the product family of Toshiba Semiconductor & Storage. It is a new unprecedented pre-biased dual BiCDMOS device with an NPN & PNP transistor. It has a wide range of applications and is capable of operating in high current and voltage working environment.
The UP0431NG0L array is a combination of gain, voltage and current sharing capabilities. It has a wide range of possible combinations and is able to work with both NPN and PNP transistors. The combination of transistors allows for many combinations of its output characteristics. The device has a wide range of voltage ratings, gain, output power and thermal/power dissipation.
The UP0431NG0L array is suited for various applications including, linear and high-side/low-side switching power supplies, audio amplifiers, LCD monitor power supplies, DC motors, PWM (pulse width modulation) controllers, DC-DC conversion and data converters. It is built around a simple architecture and is capable of operating in a wide operating temperature range of -40°C - +125°C.
The UP0431NG0L array is constructed with a substrate channel array and a built-in power FET. The channel transistors are same as that found in discrete transistors, hence they have similar characteristics as in discrete transistors. The array is governed by its high frequency power supply, its onboard driver and the internal Vgs and Ids bias. The various internal components are hardwired which makes it easy to connect them together and make it work as a monolithic integrated circuit.
The UP0431NG0L array has two advantages: Its multiple outputs and its pre-biased voltage capability. Its multiple outputs in the form of transistors allow it to deliver higher power, thus enabling increase in signal integration or signal speed as compared to single transistors. The pre-biased voltage capability allows the device to deliver higher voltage and current to signal output stages. It also provides power conditioning capability.
