The 2N5093 is an NPN silicon bipolar junction transistor, known as an inexpensive general purpose transistor. It was first released in 1966 and is still in active production today. It is a single transistor that can be used for a variety of purposes, including amplification and switching of electrical signals.

The 2N5093 is a low-power, high-frequency switch designed for applications such as AF amplification filtering and switching. This voltage gain enables the transistor to be used for amplification of electrical signals.

The 2N5093 is a three-terminal device. The base terminal is used to control the current flowing between the collector and emitter terminals, which are connected to the power supply. When the base terminal is connected to either a low voltage or low current, the collector current is either limited or reduced.
