ALD1117PAL is an array of MOSFETS. MOSFET stands for Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor and is used as a voltage-controlled switch and as an amplifier. MOSFETs have been around since the late 1940s and are now the most commonly used transistors in electronics. The ALD1117PAL array of MOSFETs is a multi-line integrated circuit (IC) which makes it perfect for use in high power applications, as the number and layout of the MOSFETs can be used to control current and voltage better than with individual transistors. In addition, the ALD1117PAL MOSFET array includes protection diodes to protect against short-circuiting and over-current.The ALD1117PAL can be used in a wide variety of applications, from power supplies, to motor control or even audio/visual applications. In general, the ALD1117PAL is used for switching and for controlling current, voltage, or power in an application. The MOSFET array is specifically designed to be used in high power applications, as the number and layout of the MOSFETs can manage current and voltage better than with individual transistors.
