The APT2012SECK/J3-PRV LED Indication - Discrete is a popular indication solution that can be used in both single, and multiple indication configurations. The versatile APT2012SECK/J3-PRV consists of two LED’s mounted in a single package with an integrated control transistor, allowing it to work with a wide variety of input signals and indicators. This versatile LED package provides a visible indication for a wide range of applications such as motor control, circuit protection, discrete signalling, and much more.The package is specially designed for easy mounting on printed circuit boards due to its small size and surface mountable design. The APT2012SECK/J3-PRV LED’s can be mounted directly with an adhesive mounting pad so that the LED’s are flush with the PCB. To ensure reliable and long-term operation, the device includes a dielectric protection layer which can protect it from moisture and dust.The working principle of the APT2012SECK/J3-PRV involves applying a voltage signal to the LED’s. This signal passes through the integrated control transistor and depending on the applied voltage, the LED’s can be made to operate in either a Continuously On (CO), Non-Continuously On (NCO) or Steady-state operation. When the voltage signal reaches a certain threshold, the integrated control transistor will switch depending on the setting, thus allowing the LEDs to be switched on or off. The CO operation mode is suitable for indicating a specific activity or event, and is usually used in situations such as momentary signals, push buttons and switches. The NCO operation mode is generally used when an alarm or warning needs to be shown with a continuous signal, using pulsed or modulated signals. In the steady-state operation, both LEDs are lit in a pre-set constant brightness level, usually to indicate the system is in operation.The APT2012SECK/J3-PRV is a robust and reliable solution for providing optical indication in a variety of applications. Its small size and surface mountable design makes it easy to mount on printed circuit boards. The integrated control transistor allows for easy control of the LEDs, thus providing an efficient and cost effective solution for single or multiple indication needs.
