The DTA144EET1 is a P-channel enhancement mode Field Effect Transistor (FET) designed primarily for high-side load switching applications. It is part of a larger family of pre-biased P-channel enhancement mode FETs. The DTA144EET1 is the single component solution that provides a compact package area and is suitable for use in DC to DC converters, switching power supplies and other power switching applications.
The DTA144EET1 features unmatched on-resistance with low gate charge. It also offers a low CISS ratio, thermal shutdown protection and ESD protection. This FET has an operating temperature range from -55°C to 125°C and a maximum drain source voltage of 100V. The DTA144EET1 is offered in a compact 3-pin SOT-23W package. It is AEC-Q101 qualified and RoHS-compliant.
The working principle of the DTA144EET1 is quite simple. When a voltage is applied to the gate of an FET, the channel between the source and drain forms allowing current to flow from source to drain. This current flow is controlled by the gate voltage. An N-channel FET will conduct current if the gate voltage is more positive than the source voltage, while a P-channel FET will conduct current if the gate voltage is more negative than the source voltage. This gives FETs the capability to act as variable resistors.
The DTA144EET1 is an ideal solution for power management applications as it offers unmatched on-resistance, low gate charge and high efficiency, while providing thermal shutdown protection and ESD protection.
