The LM5101ASDX/NOPB integrated circuit is a high performance, low-voltage, single-channel Gate Driver for MOSFET and IGBT applications. It provides a high level of integration, features a low quiescent current and allows for superior noise immunity.The IC is composed of two high-side and low-side gate drivers, a low-gain driver amplifier and a push-pull driver amplifier. The high-side driver is designed to drive power MOSFETs and IGBTs with logic signals, while the low-side driver is optimized to drive power MOSFETs and IGBTs with analog signals. The low-gain driver amplifier is used to drive floating IGBTs and unipolar power MOSFETs while the push-pull driver amplifier is used to drive bipolar power MOSFETs with minimum switching losses.The IC accepts logic inputs as well as analog inputs, allowing for a wide range of gate driving applications. Its low voltage operation allows it to be used in high speed applications such as DC-DC converters. It also features an adjustable deadtime to ensure switching of the high side and low side drivers (together referred to as an H-Bridge) at the same time and avoid cross conduction. In addition, the LM5101ASDX/NOPB is designed to protect the MOSFETs against shoot-through current by providing a propagate delay between the high side and low side drivers.The IC is designed to have four operating modes, namely high-side/high-side, low-side/low-side, high-side/low-side and low-side/high-side. In each of these modes, the high side and low side drivers are used to drive the MOSFETs up and down. The IC\'s two-level oversight structure allows it to protect against overvoltage on the drain and those experiencing out-of-limit voltages.The LM5101ASDX/NOPB is designed for a wide range of applications such as high performance motor drives, adjustable speed drives, brushless DC motor controls, DC-DC converters, resonant converters, solar inverters and many more.
