The STL3N80K5 is a N-Channel Enhancement Mode MOSFET featuring STMicroelectronics’ Green【TM】technology. It is able to reduce power consumption significantly compared to the normal current level. This MOSFET is specially designed to reduce the RDS(on), the sourse-drain voltage and the switching losses in order to improve efficiency. This device is also designed to minimize the impact of the conditions typically associated with heavy and long operating conditions.
STL3N80K5 is well suited for Low-Frequency Switching and high-speed Power Switching applications. It is designed for high-efficiency power conversion circuit, mainly applied to Buck,Boost,Inverting and Buck-Boost converters. It is usually used in the DC-DC converter to step-down the output voltage and enhance the system efficiency. In addition, it can be used in the input stage of the pre-drive circuit, allowing low turn off losses.
Working Principle of STL3N80K5
