The TIP145 is a single-diffused medium power NPN transistor used for general purpose switching and amplifier applications. It was the first NPN transistor to use a new manufacturing process called ion implantation. It is a Darlington type, which features a large current gain. The transistor is available in both TO-220 and TO-126 packages.
