Working Principle

The TPC817S1C RAG is a Transistor, Photovoltaic Output Optoisolator that works by modulating a light source such as an infrared LED. The receiver then converts the signal from light into electrical signals and isolates the two circuits. The TPC817S1C RAG is a dual bi-directional AC/DC and DC/DC optoisolator, meaning it can be used to send and receive signals in both directions.

The TPC817S1C RAG utilizes a photovoltaic output, which converts the optical signal from the LED into electrical energy. This energy passes between the signal and the ground pins on the receiver.
