AO4611 is a chip intended to provide a power solution which requires minimum exteral components. It is a new integrated circuit.

AO4611 belongs to a type of transistor-Field effect Transistors (FETs), and specifically belongs to the family of MOSFETs (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor FETs). The chip offers an array of 9 FETs in one circuit, making it an excellent offer for power solution applications.

The application field of this type of transistors includes motor drive, DC-DC converters, buck and boost converters, brushless DC motor control and switching power supplies, among many other applications. You can use this chip to build circuits with direct drive of low power motors, in order to supply power or to sustain any high current continuous applications such as LED lighting or high current circuits.

The operating principle of AO4611 is based on typical semiconductor-type operation which is based on a junction of two type of materials. The construction of the FET is such that an N-type or a P-type material is used to form two regions or channels. The width and depth of these channels decide how much current will be conducted through the FET. The length of the channel is adjusted using the gate voltage.

When the gate voltage is of negative type, the channel is on and current will be conducted through the FET. The negative gate voltage is what is termed as the voltage drop. In the AO4611, the voltage drop is controllable by the user, with a range from 0V to -5V. This allows the user to control the current which flows through the FET.

The chip is also equipped with a voltage regulator, which allows the user to control the output voltage of the circuit. The user can choose either an adjustable regulator or a fixed voltage regulator. The adjustable voltage regulator can be set to any voltage level between 3.3V to 40V while the fixed voltage regulator can be set to 10V or 12V.
