The AO4614B is an array of N-channel MOSFETs designed for power management devices, primarily integrated battery-powered applications. The device consists of three individual MOSFETs, each with its own gate, drain, and source contacts. It is specifically tailored for applications where a low on-resistance and low input capacitance are required.The AO4614B is a three-terminal integrated circuit that consists of three N-channel MOSFETs and a number of additional components such as VGS sensing circuit, gate to source resistor, output and input gate protection, thermal overload protection. The gate of each MOSFET is connected to its own gate terminal, the source to source terminal and the drain is connected to the drain and source terminals.The device operates by sensing the gate voltage, or VGS, and using an adjustable threshold voltage (Vt) to determine the on and off state of the device. When the VGS exceeds the threshold voltage, the MOSFET is turned on, allowing current to flow from the source to the drain. The adjustable threshold voltage allows for precise on/off switching of the device, enabling the load current to be accurately controlled.The AO4614B provides excellent ESD and EOS protection, as well as superior current handling capability. It has excellent temperature capabilities, up to +150 degrees Celsius, and can handle large current pulses of up to 20A. In addition, the device can provide reliable switching and current handling even at low input voltage of 5V, and due to its low on-resistance values, it can be used in battery-powered applications.In summary, the AO4614B is an ideal solution for power management devices and DC-DC devices, which need reliability, current handling capability, low input voltage, and low on-resistance.
