Working Principle

AOD5T40P is constructed in a simple N-channel MOSFT structure. As the gate voltage applied across the drain and source increases, the MOSFT enables the current flow. Due to the N-channel type, the source is positive and the drain is negative.

In a circuit on which the AOD5T40P is applied, when the gate of the MOSFT is initially turned OFF, the voltage and current between the drain and source will be balanced. When the input voltage is increased, the current starts flowing between drain and source. This flow of current allows the MOSFT to control the current and voltage, reducing power loss and providing higher efficiency.

The AOD5T40P device consists of three terminals, namely the gate, the source, and the drain.
