Working Principle of BC858B,235
The BC858B,235 operates on the principle of bipolar junction transistors, meaning that it has both N-type and P-type devices. The BC858B,235 has a single PNP, or positive-negative-positive, junction, meaning that positive current flows in one direction while negative current flows in the other. This junction allows the transistor to act as a current amplifier or switch, depending on the type of external current applied to it.
When the voltage applied to the base connection of the transistor exceeds the diode threshold voltage (VBE), a current flow occurs from the base to the collector. This causes current to be amplified, in direct proportion to the voltage applied. This amplification process is known as current gain, or beta.
