IXDN402SIA is an integrated power management solution for GaN-based power applications. It is a product for power drivers, which can be found in the integrated power management section of Power Management IC (PMIC) - Gate Drivers. The IXDN402SIA device is designed to provide voltage conversion and power delivery at high frequencies. It supports up to 10V VCC and up to 2A of output current. The operating temperature of the device is −40°C to +125°C, and its quiescent current is only 2.5mA. Furthermore, Over-voltage and over-current protections can detect any faults in the system, and they are designed to safely shut down the device when necessary.
The working principle of IXDN402SIA involves two input signals, namely the PWM signal (H) and the Soft-clock signal (F), that drive the two level translators, which in turn drive the gates of the low-side and the high-side switches. During the positive cycle of the PWM signal, the low-side switch turns on and the high-side switch turns off, providing current to the load. During the negative cycle of the PWM signal, the low-side switch turns off and the high-side switch turns on, providing current to the load. The Soft-clock signal allows for a soft turn-off of the switches at the end of each cycle, thereby allowing for a smooth transition between the two levels.
The IXDN402SIA integrated power switch is designed with a flexible gate drive control circuit that enables best-in-class efficiency and robustness. The power switch is capable of driving 10V VCC and 0-2A of output current. It provides accurate control over the switching transients, current-sense amplifiers, over-voltage and over-current protections as well as over-temperature protection. The device operates over a wide temperature range of −40°C to +125°C and has a quiescent current rating of 2.5mA.
