The N25Q256A11EF840F TR features a serial-type memory architecture. It is organized as 8 banks, with each bank consisting of a block of 8KB of storage. The device supports page read, program and erase operations. In a page read operation, up to 256 bytes of data can be read from a single page on the device. For program and erase operations, the device supports a blocks of 256 bytes, 2KB, 4KB or 8KB. To initiate a program or erase operation, the device must first be activated. This is achieved by writing the desired parameters (such as address, data size and status) to the device\'s Program Register. Once the Program Register has been written, the device will then begin the programming or erasing process. Depending on the type of program/erase operation being performed, the process can take up to 150ms to complete.The N25Q256A11EF840F TR also features Error Correction Code (ECC) and Redundancy Array (RA) mechanisms that provides superior reliability and data security. The RA and ECC features allows the device to detect, correct and prevent errors which may occur due to data corruption or memory cell wear.
