NDS9947 is a MOSFET array produced by NDS Semiconductor containing 8 depletion-mode power MOSFETs connected in parallel. It provides very low on-resistance, low gate charge and low output capacitance. The device is designed for uses such as load switching, power management and motor control applications. It can easily be used with an operating logic voltage range from 3V to 10V.

Working Principle of NDS9947

The NDS9947 consists of eight N-Channel depletion-mode MOSFETs connected in a parallel configuration. The output of each MOSFET is connected to its source and source to source connection is provided to sum up the individual electrical characteristics of the MOSFETs. The drain of each MOSFET is connected to one of the input pins of the array. On applying the input signals of either high (Vdd) or low (GND) at the respective pins of the array, the respective MOSFETs turn on. As a result, the total channel resistance is determined by the two MOSFETs in series connected with source node and input pins. By this way, the NDS9947 allows precise control of current flow.
