S29GL01GS11DHIV20 Memory
The S29GL01GS11DHIV20 is a 128 megabit (Mb) boot block Flash memory device manufactured by Spansion. This memory device was designed as a multi-purpose memory solution for a variety of applications including audio and storage, automotive, computing, and digital consumer products. The S29GL01GS11DHIV20 is a 3V boot block Flash memory organized as 65536 words x 16 bits (128Mb) and is offered in packages ranging from 8-pin SOIC to 44-pin TSOP. In addition to its parallel interface, the S29GL01GS11DHIV20 offers an industry standard 6-pin Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) for applications requiring reduced pin count. The S29GL01GS11DHIV20 is designed to access data and program code from nonvolatile memory locations in a fast and efficient manner, without any degradation to the performance of the system. The device also has an internal address counter, data buffer, and programmable configuration registers. The device is compatible with the standard Flash memory commands, such as Chip Erase, Sector Erase, and Block Erase, as well as Read Commands. The S29GL01GS11DHIV20 has an efficient design which allows for an increased number of erase/program operations and data retention times over existing Flash technologies. This device has an advanced write protection feature which allows for read and program operations to be performed without accidentally changing any of the memory contents. The device also features an on-chip voltage regulator which eliminates the need for external power supplies, thus allowing the device to operate from a single 3V source. The S29GL01GS11DHIV20’s applications include automotive, consumer, computing and audio/storage applications. It is especially suitable for automotive applications due to its wide temperature range (-40℃ to +125℃), extended data retention, and reliable performance. Additionally, the device has a built-in write protection feature, which helps protect the contents of the memory against accidental write/erase operations.The S29GL01GS11DHIV20 utilizes a combination of both synchronous and asynchronous technologies which allow it to deliver faster access time. This combination of technologies allows the device to read and write data more quickly, reducing the access time required by the host system to access the memory.
