The TNY264GN-TL (TNY264) is a low dropout, offline switcher integrated circuit typically used in offline AC-to-DC adapters, laptop adapters, and many other related applications. The primary side of the TNY264 driving MOSFET increases switching efficiency and reduces component count.The TNY264 is available in 8-pin SOIC (SOP) packages with an integral, over-temperature protection (OTP). The voltage feedback of the TNY264 has an adjustable reference voltage range of 0.7V to 8.0V. The TNY264 also includes a PWM comparator, which provides an ideal alignment of the adaptive regulated output voltage compared to the voltage reference or analog voltage ramp.Application FieldThe TNY264 is most commonly used in applications such as: laptop adapters, AC/DC switching adapters, and portable electronics.
