The AO4801AL is a part of a family of advanced logic products featuring depletion load n-channel FET Array output. This device has been designed for the highest performance in order to meet the increasing demands of complex system designs. It is ideal for use in handheld electronic devices, automotive applications, medical equipment, marine systems and various industrial and consumer products.

The AO4801AL is an orthogonal Field-Effect Transistor (FET) array designed to drive a wide range of logic signals. Its output has the capability to drive up to 150mA of current. It has 10 channels, each of which is individually low-impedance, sinking the output current from the logic gate directly to ground. Its output is TTL / CMOS logic compatible, making it a very versatile logic output solution.

The AO4801AL features an ESD protection of up to 6.5KV HBM, making it suitable for high reliability applications. It is also RoHS compliant and already supports a variety of temperatures and operating conditions, ranging from -40°C to 85°C.

To understand the AO4801AL application field and working principle, it is necessary to understand the basic components of an FET array. FETs are voltage-controlled devices that have three terminals: a gate, a source and a drain. Applying an electrical potential to the gate sets up an electric field. This field Polarizes the p-n junction and facilitates the flow of current between the source and the drain.

The AO4801AL consists of 10 channels of FETs connected in parallel. Each FET has a gate, a source and a drain. The gate is the controlling element for each FET.
