AO6424 is a high-performance MOSFET (metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor). As a kind of MOSFETs, AO6424 utilizes a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) as a gate oxide and a metal gate to form a pair of p-type and n-type transistors. The MOSFET is a three-terminal device with a source, a drain, and a gate. The voltage put on the gate relative to the source determines whether the MOSFET is in on-state or off-state. When the MOSFET is in the on-state, electric current can flow from the source to the drain; otherwise, no electric current passes through.
