AOD4189 is a 210 V N-channel enhancement-mode power field effect transistor (FET) designed to replace discrete power MOS FET. It\'s designed to provide high performance in demanding switching applications. The AOD4189 device combines the low on-resistance and high speed of power MOSFETs with the low input capacitance of a typicalJFET. This combination offers excellent performance in high frequency switching applications.

Working Principle

AOD4189 is an N-channel enhancement-mode power field effect transistor (FET) which is used for controlling the flow of electrons in high power applications. The working principle behind AOD4189 is relatively simple – a voltage is applied to the gate terminal which creates a conductive channel between the source and drain terminals. The electrons are then able to travel across this channel and are therefore able to move to the drain terminal. Depending on the voltage applied to the gate, the current between the source and drain terminals can be adjusted allowing the device to be used as a switch.
