The AON4407L is a light-activated, vertical-channel, low-voltage power field-effect transistor (FET). This device utilizes advanced trench technology to minimize capacitance and increase efficiency. The AON4407L is rated for reduced power consumption and improved performance in applications including motor control, low/medium voltage industrial applications, and other applications where high-frequency switching is needed. The AON4407L features on-resistance less than 10 mΩ at 0V gate drive, fast switching with fast pull-up time, lowgate drive voltage and low thermal impedance.

The application fields of the AON4407L typically includes low/medium voltage industrial applications such as consumer electronics, optical powerballast, solenoid drivers, relay drivers, small motor-drivers, DC/DC converters and HBLED lighting applications. This device is particularly suitable for use in circuits which require fast switching, low power consumption and high efficiency. This device is also suitable for DC-to-DC boost, buck, forward and flyback converters applications.

The AON4407L has a working principle which consists of four main components - the body, gate, source and drain. The body of the AON4407L is the main component and acts as a voltage gate between the source and the drain. The body is normally open and allows current to flow when a gate voltage is applied. At the same time, the gate voltage attracts the electrons from the source to the drain and blocks current flow from the source to the drain.
