The DDTC144TCA-7 is a single pre-biased bipolar junction transistor, or BJT, designed for use in a variety of applications. BJTs are three-terminal devices, usually comprised of a P-type semiconductor, or base, and two N-type semiconductors, or collectors. By applying a voltage to the base-collector junction, the transistor is “turned on”, allowing current to flow from the collector to the emitter. The DDTC144TCA-7 is pre-biased, meaning it includes an integrated resistor which applies a pre-defined voltage to the base-collector junction so that the transistor is inherently activated, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications.The DDTC144TCA-7 is generally used in audio amplifiers, small signal switching applications, linear power amplifiers and motor control circuits.
