FZT649 is a single bipolar transistor, also known as a BJT, a type of semiconductor transistor. It is an npn type, which means that it injects electrons into the base. As its name implies, it has both p and n type semiconductors, which means it has three primary terminals: base, emitter and collector.
The FZT649 has numerous applications including switching, amplification and signal actuation. Its primary applications are found in audio, power and control circuits, such as in audio amplifiers, power switching circuits and motor control systems. In addition, it is well suited for use as a line driver, current amplifier and voltage-regulator circuit.
FZT649 works by taking an input at the base and providing an output at the collector. When an input is applied to the base, current flows into the base, causing the transistor’s switch to turn on. This current is then amplified and an output is generated from the transistor\'s collector. As the input voltage increases the current in the base increases, resulting in higher output power. The size of the output current is controlled by the input voltage, allowing the FZT649 to be used to control the current flow in a circuit.
FZT649 operates in three different modes: active, saturation and cut-off. Active mode is when the transistor is operating in inverting mode and the base current is at a maximum level. Saturation mode is when the transistor is operating in non-inverting mode and the base current is lower. Cut-off mode is when the transistor is completely off, meaning no current is flowing through the transistor.
The FZT649 also has a low input impedance of 10–12 ohms, meaning it is able to transfer current from the base to the collector quickly and efficiently. It also has a low output impedance of 2–4 ohms, meaning it is able to maintain and control the current flowing through the device for a longer period of time. This makes it suitable for a variety of applications in which either current or voltage needs to be controlled.
FZT649 is a popular choice for a number of applications, due to its ability to control the current in a circuit, low input impedance and low output impedance.
