These electrons and holes form a current loop and create a field in the junction, producing a voltage drop.

The higher the value of the resistance, the greater the current gain. When the collector is connected to the emitter, it creates a low-resistance path for the current flow and makes the current flow easier. This current flow is responsible for producing the power output from the JAN2N5682.
