Working Principle

The AUIRF7309QTR is a gate controlled array of nine discrete P-Channel MOSFETs. P-Channel MOSFETs have anode and cathode terminals which switch on when the applied gate voltage exceeds the threshold voltage in the gate of the MOSFET. When the gate voltage is below the threshold voltage, the device is off,i.e. it has a high (infinite) resistance between anode and cathode.

The development of the AUIRF7309QTR is based on die shrink technology, due to its small die size, low on-resistance, and low gate charge, as it has a much lower capacitance than any traditional MOSFET.
