The MCH6544-TL-E is an enhanced array of bipolar transistors from Motorola Inc. It is a monolithic integrated circuit consisting of four NCV (N-channel Vertical) transistors mounted in one package. It is designed to be used as an array of 4 digital switches. Each transistor has its collector and emitter connected externally with the base input connected to pin 2 and the collector connected to pin 4. The MCH6544-TL-E is well suited for applications such as switching or logic-level translation, line drivers and interface circuits. The device can be used as an array of 4 digital switches, with inputs connected to the base of each transistor and outputs connected to the collectors. Each transistor can switch up to 15 mA of current and has an 800 mV breakdown voltage.The device features the NCV technology developed by Motorola, which is designed for extremely low power operation. The technology uses very low power and has a fast switching speed which makes it ideal for a wide range of applications from portable computing to automotive and industrial applications.The working principle of the MCH6544 is based on the fact that current flows from the collector to the emitter of a transistor when a voltage is applied to the base. It is ideal for use in precise digital control circuits, low power analog signal conditioning, remote controls, and electronic toys.
