The EPC2103 is a high-speed, scalable and efficient array of enhancement mode Field Effect Transistors (FETs). It is designed for a wide range of applications, including industrial motor control, automotive motor control, robotics and power management applications.
The FET array of the EPC2103 consists of 16 FETs, each with a power rating of 5V. These FETs can be used as individual devices, or in parallel as an array. The array is capable of driving up to 8A of current, and the FETs are compatible with standard logic families such as TTL, CMOS and LS. The array also includes a thermal overload protection circuit that protects it from thermal overload conditions.
The working principle of the EPC2103 is based on the operation of the FETs. The FETs are connected as a series between the source and drain terminals. When a positive voltage is applied to the gate terminal of the FET, it opens up and allows current to flow from the source to the drain. Conversely, when the voltage applied to the gate terminal is negative, the FET closes and prevents current from flowing. This is known as the enhancement-mode operation of the FETs.
