Working Principle
FDC6310P is a pair of parallel connected N-channel MOSFETS. These two MOSFETs are connected in such a way as to produce a controlled electric current through them. When a voltage is applied to the drain of one of the MOSFETs, the two MOSFETs will operate in parallel, allowing a relatively higher current to flow through the circuit. The lower the resistance of the FDC6310P, the higher the current will flow through the circuit.
The FDC6310P has two embedded gate protection circuits to protect the MOSFETs. The first circuit is a common gate resistor with the purpose of reducing drain to source switching time and reducing gate over voltage due to a sudden change in the gate voltage. The second circuit is a gate capacitor, which helps to reduce the ringing and increase the speed of the MOSFET.
