The MMBFJ305 is a silicon N-channel junction field effect transistor (JFET), specially designed for general purpose low noise amplifier applications. It is produced using the patented Multi-Monolithic-FET technology, providing superior performance in the audio frequency range.

The MMBFJ305 is a low-noise JFET transistor with a simple 2 terminal source-drain configuration. It is controlled by an electric field which, when increased, decreases the resistance of the transistor. This allows for enhanced gain and lower noise characteristics in circuit designs.

The MMBFJ305 has an exceptionally low noise figure of <1.0dB at low frequencies, which makes it an ideal choice for a range of amplification applications such as audio preamplifiers, RF amplifiers, video amplifiers and digital filter amplifiers. The device has a maximum voltage rating of 30V, with a maximum drain current of 250 mA. It has a thermal resistance of 0.825°C/W, making it suitable for high-temperature use.

The MMBFJ305 has a maximum gate-source breakdown voltage of 25V and a maximum drain-source breakdown voltage of 45V. The gate leakage current at +25V is maximum 0.5mA.
