UNR31AE00L bipolar junction transistor (BJT) is a single transistor which is pre-biased for the purpose of efficient switching operations for various AC-DC or DC-DC applications. It is specially designed with integrated biasing and protection features, thus reducing the total parts count and resulting in a lower overall cost. UNR31AE00L is suitable for applications where the output load current is higher than 1A.
The UNR31AE00L is available in an industry standard 8 pin dual inline package (DIP) and has a typical application of a single pre-biased BJT. The pre-biased output allows for efficient operation with no need for power transformer or additional active biasing components. It also provides additional overcurrent protection and improved noise immunity for applications requiring high-speed switching. In addition, it is designed for low voltage operation, making it a suitable solution for applications such as LED lighting and motor control.
The UNR31AE00L bipolar junction transistor has three terminals: the collector, base, and emitter. The collector-base junction of the BJT is pre-biased through the integrated resistors and capacitors, resulting in better switching performance. The collector-base junction has reverse breakdown voltage of 30V, which ensures the device operates in the required region of operation. The base terminal of the BJT is connected to a variable voltage source, while the emitter is connected to ground.
