FDPF3860T is a single Enhancement Mode insulated gate voltage field-effect transistor (IGFET or MOSFET). It mainly consists of several source, drain and gate terminals for connecting to external circuits. It works based on the principle of changing the resistance at its channel when small external electric signals applied on the gate. It is commonly used for power switching and amplifying applications, since FETs are easy to be switched on and off, and their wide voltage tolerance allows wide range of operating voltages from low to high.
When the gate enters negative voltage, its channel becomes pinched off and the resistance of the channel increases to practically infinite value, resulting in switch-off condition. It works as a kind of normal switch.
