IRF9530STRL is an advanced power MOSFET transistor designed by International Rectifier, which provides a high current capability, a low resistance interface, and a high-efficiency switching performance. It’s usually used in DC-to-DC converters and applications such as buck convertors, power filters, synchronous buck regulator and more. IRF9530STRL is also capable of handling high voltage, as well as provide good current handling capabilities. The package of IRF9530STRL is in a lead Pb-free SO-8 surface mountable and can be soldered directly to the circuit board.

The IRF9530STRL is a single-n-channel enhancement-mode power MOSFET transistor and has a monolithic type structure made up of a double-diffused epitaxial construction. It has a large conducting channel, which is formed by doping the N-channel semiconductor material with electrons and capable of withstanding high drain-source voltage. This large conducting channel offers very low on-resistance, making it ideal for power switching applications.

The working principle of IRF9530STRL is that when it is connected to a gate voltage, the channel current will increase due to the increasing gate voltage, allowing electrons to flow from the source terminal to the drain terminal. This process will continue until the drain current reaches its peak and no further increase in current is possible. This process is known as saturation. When the drain voltage is applied, the drain current will decrease gradually, which is known as cut-off. The threshold voltage of IRF9530STRL is 2V and the drain current is 5A and the temperature region is 0~150℃.

The high voltage, large current capacity and high-efficiency switching performance make IRF9530STRL an ideal choice for a variety of applications. It can replace relatively expensive and complicated circuit designs, such as those required for a power MOSFET with high-power and high-speed switching. Typical applications of IRF9530STRL include DC-to-DC convertors, power filters, synchronous buck regulator, Class-D audio amplifiers, SMPS (switch-mode power supplies), LED drivers, battery protection circuits and more.
