The STD60NF3LLT4 is an N channel, logic-level enhancement mode field-effect transistor (FET), and is part of ST Microelectronics’ STD6 series.
The FET can be used for switching in electronics applications at voltages up to 60V with very low dynamic and static drain-source on-state resistance for current carrying capacity of up to 26A. It is also capable of operating at very low gate-source threshold voltage and has very good switching behavior. The STD60NF3LLT4 has low thermal and reverse recovery time that allows it to switch rapidly.
The STD60NF3LLT4 also has a low gate input resistance, making it easy to drive with TTL and MOS logic controls while also offering an adjustable on/off gate threshold voltage. Additionally, the FET also has an improved bonding material and copper contact slot for improved thermal management.
ST Microelectronics\' STD60NF3LLT4 works on a simple principle. It is based on the idea of controlling the current flow in an electrical circuit with the use of a thin conductive gate material. When a current is applied to the gate, the FET behaves like a closed switch, allowing current to flow from the drain to the source. When the current is removed, the FET reverts to its original form, creating an open circuit.
