Working Principle
The 2SK137400L is an N-channel FET (field-effect transistor) that is operated as a switch. Its output is normally open, meaning that main-circuit current is not flowing from drain to source.The N-channel MOSFET works as a switch and has three pins: the gate (G), the drain (D) and the source (S). It can operate in three different modes: in cut-off region, there is no current flowing from the drain to the source; in saturation region, the current flows from the drain to the source and in triode region, it is in between cut-off and saturation regions.When a positive charge is applied to the gate, it creates an electric field and attracts free electrons, creating a conductive channel between the drain and the source. At that point, the MOSFET is in saturation mode and the current is flowing. The current flow is proportional to the voltage applied to the gate.When the gate voltage drops to zero, the MOSFET is in cut-off mode and the output is open. As the gate voltage is driven lower than the source, the MOSFET is operated in reverse mode.Conclusion
